C.A.F punishes official !


Do you remember Slim Jedidi? Well, he is the Tunisian referee that officiated the controversial semi final Afcon Game between Ghana and Burkina Faso yesterday !
He has been suspended by The Confederation of African Football (CAF) with Immediate effect!
This referee gave Ghana a non existent penalty, denied Bourkina Faso two Penalties and unceremoniously sent off Burkina Faso’s best player on the night,Jonathan Pitroipa!
One would expect that the red card given would be nullified immediately,but no, C.A.F is still stalling on that: awaiting to read the Referee’s match report!
Match report or not,I believe you will agree with me that video evidence should be used to judge this,And would quickly resolve this issue!

“There is a meeting tomorrow (Friday) but you have to understand that the referee’s report is final and so if he doesn’t make mention of having made a mistake, it stays that way,” CAF Secretary General Hicham El Amrani, said at a press conference today!
Burkina Faso have already filed a complaint with CAF over the midfielder’s sending off !
